WHAT DOES MALAGAZZETTA TALK ABOUT?

Discover all the sections of Malagazzetta: from band reviews to sculpture tutorials, from battle stories to translated rules.

HERE IS WHAT MALAGAZZETTA IS ABOUT, AND WHAT YOU WILL FIND IN ITS PAGES

Malagazzetta the magazine, since the release of its first issue in February 2024, has developed and enriched a series of columns covering community events, modelling, craftsmanship, and the translation and revision of rules (in the Italian language version). In just one year we have learned a great deal and refined our techniques in both layout and writing. This article will outline the main columns of Malagazzetta.

UNDER THE LENS

Sotto la lente logo

In this column we put the playable warbands in Mordheim and its settings under the spotlight, seeking to highlight their strengths and weaknesses in order to bring new players closer to the game and entice some of the veterans into playing these warbands. Most of the articles in the Under the Lens column are written by players outside the Malagazzetta editorial team, who write about their favourite warband while sharing their extensive experience.

BATTLE REPORTS

Racconti di battaglia logo

The column where the events of the Mordheim community are recounted, bringing you right into the heart of the action by sharing photos of warbands, played scenarios, award ceremonies and much more! We will share with you the best backgrounds written by players and recount some battle anecdotes. The perfect way to always stay up to date on what is happening in the cursed city.

DR. WOLFBANE'S LAIR

Alessio Cisbani

In Dr. Wolfbane's Lair you will find sculpting and modelling tutorials along with advice on how to sculpt and on the tools of the trade, from the skilled Alessio Cisbani, a well-known Italian miniature sculptor who is an official member of the Malagazzetta editorial team.

A column not to be missed whether you are a novice sculptor or not.

THE FORGE

La Forgia logo

Originally called "Craftsman's Guide", The Forge changed its name following the arrival on the team of Ivan Cappelli, an expert gaming table craftsman and participant in the Battle of Tables every year with his team from Turin.

In this column you will find interesting tutorials and tips on how to build your scenery, sharing techniques and materials that will bring to life the tables that will host your battles.

EXPERIMENTS AMONG THE RUINS

Esperimenti fra le rovine

In this column you will find translated rules (in the Italian version), revisions and clarifications on the most varied and lesser-known rules of Mordheim. In addition to this, you will also find something new, such as alternative game systems and Fan-made settings tested and approved by the Mordheim community.

OUR COMICS

Fumetto Dramatis Persona

Thanks to the addition of comic artist @pandg_dsgner to the editorial team, we are able to offer our readers our own comic pages, inspired by the cursed city and the setting of the Old World. Our first comic, Dramatis Persona, will be available to read in preview on the pages of Malagazzetta.

BONUS ARTICLES AND NEW MALAGAZZETTA COLUMNS

In addition to these columns, we have more in store for you, along with special articles such as those covering the Golden Gotthard and the Battle of Tables, with plenty of photos to showcase the skills of painters and craftsmen. There will also be interviews with veterans and newcomers alike, to tell the stories of the people behind the sculpts, the game and the organisations.

Through this blog you will get previews, news, article sneak peeks and much more.
