The campaign "The Eternal Chronicles," initially called "the infinite hunt" in the first issue of the Malagazzetta, is an ambitious and unprecedented project in the world of narrative wargaming.
The intent is to launch a campaign where players from all over Italy and the world can participate, contributing to the formation of rankings and stories to be told. Bringing their own warbands to glory, or to their inevitable end, and feeling as if they are truly living in the cursed city.

An Innovation for the Community
Thanks to a dedicated application, Campaign Manager, players will be able to register their warband, log their games and see their results influence the course of the campaign. The collected data — from victories to experience points to accumulated resources — will allow for the creation of dynamic rankings and the tracking of warband progression over time.
But Cronache Eterne is not just a contest between players: the narrative component is central. Each participant will be able to enrich the story of the cursed city of Mordheim with their warband's background, experiencing special events and missions that will influence the campaign's annual storyline. At the end of each cycle, a special scenario will decide the fate of the game world.
A Project for the Future
The goal of Cronache Eterne is ambitious: to create a lasting gaming platform that unites the Mordheim community like never before. The campaign will be supported by regular updates in the Malagazzetta magazine and on the Mordheim Italia social channels, with quarterly rankings and new missions for all participants.
The challenge has been issued: are you ready to write your legend in the Cronache Eterne?
The First Rules for the Campaign
To maintain a balanced gaming experience and provide the best possible management of the campaign, we have devised the rules that must be followed in order to participate in the "Cronache Eterne" campaign.
- Each player can upload and progress with one warband at a time. Before creating a new warband, they must retire the previous one.
- The limit of games playable for campaign advancement purposes is 3 per month (as per the calendar)
- House rules: to be defined
- Play against an opponent who is registered in the campaign and has a player ID.
- Players will be able to play one special campaign scenario per month; the other two must be chosen by rolling dice or by mutual agreement with the opponent, as usual
- Oath to the Blind Goddess
A Balanced and Shared Experience
To ensure a balanced experience, the campaign introduces some key rules: each player may register only one warband at a time, with a maximum of three games per month to avoid excessive disparities. In addition, the Oath to the Blind Goddess will be introduced — a formula that invites players to experience the game in the right spirit, without excessive competitiveness.
Registration Costs
Access to the campaign requires an annual registration fee of €10, necessary to cover the development and maintenance costs of the application.
Any surplus funds will be reinvested into the community through prizes for events, support for players in isolated areas, and materials for live tournaments.
Live Events
For the live events related to the campaign, the idea is to move away from the classic tournament format structured around 3 games, instead providing tables for players to challenge each other with classic scenarios or those proposed in the issues of the Malagazzetta.
City-themed scenarios are being created to immerse players even further in the action — such as a classic tavern brawl, perhaps sparked by a failed sabotage attempt before a game against an opponent, trying to poison their drinks, or simply because everyone is tipsy and looking for a fight.
